Paisley’s Christmas Lights Installation
Monday 11 December, 2017
There’s nothing quite like a good old Christmas lights switch-on to bring everyone together. An astounding 25,000 braved the bitter cold of Paisley’s town centre recently for one of the largest switch-on events in Scotland. And they were not disappointed.
Treated to a spectacular light show was just the start of the festivities, with 90s throwback Ash taking to the stage to perform for the delighted crowd.
This switch-on marks just one of the many events Field and Lawn are working on this year, with all our teams working to deliver outstanding light displays to towns and cities across the UK. The Field and Lawn Scotland team built the lighting infrastructure for Paisley which included a 70m ceiling of light, a river of light, 3D Santa and friends, tree dressing and multiple pole mounted motifs which work in tandem with three colour changing Christmas trees.
The Paisley infrastructure is just one scheme of 15 in the Renfrewshire area which are installed and maintained by Field and Lawn.
The total overlay of all the schemes takes weeks of planning and delivery to ensure that all are fully tested and working before each switch on date, and it is an honour to be part of this merry tradition each year.
